Brief Profile of the Centre
The Inauguration of the Dattopant Thengadi Employment Generation Centre at Tripura University took place on 19th April 2023. It was inaugurated by Sri Tinku Roy, Minister of youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare and Social Education and Labour, Government of Tripura along with other dignitaries. The objective of the centre is to promote Entrepreneurship among the youth of Tripura through adequate handholding and mentorship. Being a University Centre, the appropriate skill imparting and scientific handholding is provided to the candidates, based on their requirement and the available expertise. The beneficiaries are both within and outside Tripura University. The Center is located in the ground floor of Day care building and shares the space with Women’s Study Centre. It has a core team of six members from different segments of Tripura University and collaborates with different departments to organize the events.

- Hands-on Workshop on Bibliometric Analysis for Visualization of Research Data using VOSviewer for 2nd-year M.sc students, organised by the Microbial Technology Group (MTG), Tripura University, in collaboration with the Dattopant Thengadi Employment Generation Resource Centre (DTEGRC), Tripura University, and the Shanti Kali Skill Development Center, Tripura University, from 18 June to 6th July 2026, Time: 10 AM.
- Swadeshi Udyamita Manthan Self-Reliant Northeast through Entrepreneurship.
